Life's Allusions

A story once played,
Upon a darkly lit stage,
This man held a play everyday.

Whilst darkness surrounded,
The people came crowded,
No longer would his heart beat still.

Good judgment seemed at bay,
While the people did stay,
This man could no longer bear.

He felt pressured to portray,
A man lying to the day,
Trapped in his painful facade.

As the curtain would draw,
With his eyes, he saw,
A face who's eyes did pierce.

What once was hidden,
Would flood back, smitten,
His love of a life once black.

While the muse danced in his eyes,
This man dropped all his lies,
No longer was his fear of the light.

All the gawkers who stayed,
Fled the scene in dismay,
The once played out tragedy had died.

The eyes of the one,
Who outlasted the son,
Did see what was once mistaken.

The play came to a halt,
But not to his fault,
As it had now become irrelevant.

The one who never faltered,
Met the man upon his alter,
To embrace the newly found day.
