Novel Preview

This is the rough cut of the prologue that will be in my first novel. I'll share more as soon as I feel it's ready, but until then, I hope you enjoy the short but sweet look at what's to come in the near future.

"It slipped through his fingers, lifeless and cold, and crashed against the cement beneath his feet. Decay spread fast, and flesh turned to clay. Crumbling at the touch, the man could no longer express his feelings. Every emotion shriveled up and deceased before he could even birth it, as if the decay slipped into his very existence, and left him incapable of being human. Clumps of clay slunk off, leaving nothing but a pile of unidentifiable sand piled up around his feet and in his palms. For this man, it wasn't just dirt that fell, but rather love and happiness."
