I can feel them crawling and burrowing,
My insides squirm and start churning.
Blades sever the arteries, stabbing blindly at the enemy,
Birthed from hallucinations, bred by my insecurity.
Peel back the flesh and expose the interior,
Muscle and veins left to deal with the inferior.
Clawing at the raw flesh and digging to the bone,
Cracking the calcified and bleed out on my throne.
Loneliness creeps over and takes control,
A man once happy, now a disheveled sinkhole.
